Speaker: Amy Chen

Title: Variations in CT utilization in the Emergency Department: overuse or underuse of resources

Amy completed her medical school at the University of Toronto and is currently a third year resident in the Diagnostic Radiology program. She has strong interest in quality improvement, especially in issues related to appropriate use of medical imaging tests. Her talk focuses on the results of a study that examined the variation in the utilization rate of CT pulmonary angiography (CTPA) among Emergency physicians at an academic tertiary care center. The work has been previously presented at Emergency Department Grand Rounds and will be presented at Radiology Society of North America in Chicago this December.
